Users may have some folders which are regularly used by them. To have faster accessibility to these folders, users may add them to the start menu. With this setting you can hide the user-created folder form the start menu list. For this, go to start > run, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a dword value nostartmenusubfolders, if this value does not exist. Now, right-click and modify the value to 1 which can hide the user-created folder. However, if you want to show the option back, change the value data to 0 or delete the value. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.
